Released in 2005, honors the legendary Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes, best known for his monumental work, Don Quixote. Widely regarded as one of the most influential novels in Western literature, Don Quixote tells the tale of a man consumed by idealism and adventure. Montblanc’s design pays homage to Cervantes’ literary genius, as well as the themes of his most famous character’s journey.

The pen features a unique, swirling barrel design, reminiscent of the classic imagery of windmills—a central symbol in Don Quixote. The warm brown and ivory tones evoke the earthy landscapes of La Mancha, where Cervantes set his tale. The cap, adorned with platinum-coated accents, has a slightly tapering shape, resembling the medieval lances and armor associated with chivalric knights. The handcrafted nib, made from Au750 18K gold, is etched with an image symbolizing a windmill, capturing the spirit of Quixote’s iconic battles.
